Get however many you'd like for your profile. I didn't create the shell of the shop. I only created the items. I don't think there's an upper limit on how many you can buy, but I don't know for sure.
I know there are still concerns regarding what happens to the shop in ProBoards v6. Unfortunately, I can't do anything to change that. The shop requires a level of coding that is way beyond anything I know how to do. Things like the smiley tabs and the 8 Ball game were simple. The shop is not.
