Not much of a new gamer, but I know that games are primarily streaming now. Do any of you miss having a disc or a cartridge or anything like that?

Ooooh! Neat question. I've been meaning to ask something similar. Do consoles just have massive hard drives now?

Yes, consoles have an HD and you download and stream. But it's similar to what you do with Netflix without DVDs.

There's still a lot that gets downloaded. In some sense, there's a physical copy. Think of it more like how you can download and play games on your PC without a CD.

It's been so long that I don't look for cartridges or discs anymore.

Been gaming on my cell for so many years that I forgot what it's like to own my xbox of the past.

Honestly, it's been so long since I even needed a CD game, that cartridges seem like they never happened.

Sometimes I feel that way, but I'm used to no physical media.

I hear you, but I'm used to it. Was weird when I had my first laptop without an optical drive, but I'm over it.

I don't really miss it much. They would get scratched or damaged and you'd be out a game. I do somewhat miss the boxes and such when going shopping looking for games. I used to love looking at the PC games as a kid and reading the back of them to find out about the game. Or they would have those boxes that would open up with additional details about the game and pictures. That's sort of a nostalgic bit for me.

Dont miss or expect physical media. I'm fine with it all being virtual.

I only watch nowadays. It's been long since I played games other than phone games.
