I'll try. Hopefully Potter can nail down a smaller window as to when he'll be doing it.

That was fun to watch Several things: On the first level, if you recall, there's mines. The first two you jump over, then after that you get a power-up that fires off huge square projectiles (the one where Potter said "oh, that's cool"). As it names your power-ups, those are Mine Sweepers. Once you get to the next set of mines (four of them), crouch down and shoot. If you still have the Mine Sweeper power-up then it'll totally clear out those four mines. As I said during chat once (although I'm sure it's hard to keep up with that while playing), you don't have to keep on replaying a level from scratch once you die. DON'T TOUCH A CONTROL once your next life comes up. It says to hold down the A button to speed it up. If you know where you screwed up, just let it replay until you get to the point where you screwed up, THEN move the control. You can go from there. If you fast forward it, pass the point where you meant to correct your mistake and die anyway, if you didn't touch the d-pad then you won't lose the same life again. Makes it easier since several levels are really big and one small mistake means you have to start all over again; quite the pain it is. Another thing I'd said with the current level you're stuck on, you shoot the canister at the beginning, grab the key and unlock that barrier. If you go back left and shoot the next canister there there's a "Water Freezer". That freezes up the DOLL (Deadly to Organic Life Liquid, although at times it looks like lava) when you hold down the B button. If you keep moving left to the end of that platform I *think* there's a pretty good power-up there. Just grab it and move back right and you should have enough time to go through the level as usual, but keeping the DOLL at bay will buy you time (especially since that part near the end where you kept on falling when you should've jumped left).

oh i didnt see you dont have to replay a level. yeah its kinda hard to keep up with chat. i have it on my other screen.
i think i got used to the gameplay. first i didnt know how to use the power ups. then those things you have to break to get the power ups kind of blend in the background.
once i got used to opening doors and using power ups the game was more playable. ill try your tips again when i get back to the last stage i played.

oh i didnt see you dont have to replay a level. Well, as the saying goes, it can always be worse! It was a while before I got the instructions from Electronic Arts, as I just got the cart loose originally. One day I thought "what is this 'rewind' thing they mention?". I then tested it out, walking to the very left of the first level, pausing for a few seconds, and then "accidentally" falling off the ledge into the DOLL. I then waited and it replayed exactly what I did, but not another life was taken from me. If you don't correct your mistake it'll just keep replaying your screw-up forever, I guess. And here I'd had the game for weeks before I figured that out (again, no instructions!). i think i got used to the gameplay. first i didnt know how to use the power ups. then those things you have to break to get the power ups kind of blend in the background. They change with every other level too. With Level 2 (each level is divided into two parts) the canisters glow. Forget what they look like after that.
Thanks for playing, that was fun
