lots0 PC cancel culture and “racism” I know the reason for the name change, I just don't see why you wouldn't pick something better than "football team". I would have rather them be the Spartans or something like that. It doesn't matter either way though, I'm a Broncos fan. haha Ah. Maybe it’s a rebellion? I agree it’s stupid. It’s possible they had to change it immediately and that’s what they’ll be called until the pick something else? I didn’t read very much about it. |

lots0 May as well have called themselves the “Washington baseball team” for lulz. If they had to change their name I don't see why other aren't forced to do the same. (Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, Atlanta Braves) |

I just read that they're using the name "Washington Football Team" this year until they come up with a new name and logo. |

I don't see why they would change everything to that just to change it again. They said they were taking the year to develop a marketing and branding strategy before permanently changing their name. They'll change it, it's just going to take a while. I think it's dumb to wait that long, the Washington Football Team is so stupid. Just pick something, it barely even matters, people will pick up the new name in no time. Look at the Titans/Oilers and Ravens/Browns, and even all the teams that have changed cities. People adapt quickly

I get it though, they’re renaming a legacy. Sort of like naming a child, you want time to think about it and then add the complexity that it’s also a business.

A bunch of our family went to Green Bay to watch a game. They’re 49ers fans. I was really jealous until GB won in the last minutes and then I felt really bad for them traveling all that way, for an expensive game, in which we came out victorious.
