I have a similar wish, and I feel like it’s been going in the right direction. I’ve been actually calling my mother a lot more often recently and it hasn’t been because I’ve felt obligated too like it has in the past.

Ugh, I’m feeling this big time right now as my husband step dad, step dads GF, sister, and niece are going to be here next Thursday and we JUST found out. It happens to be the same day my dad is getting here to start the roof and plumbing with my husband so I’m super annoyed.
I hope to find peace with this happening and less anxiety in general. I always get super anxious when step dad and co come around, and this time it’s for several days.

Thanks Play_Song. I’m trying to give people more grace. I always get anxious when they come around and it never ends up being all that bad. I essentially stress myself out without reason. I need to learn to have more patience and empathy for others. |
