Dear Oliver, Congratulations! You are member of the month! I wanted to thank you for joining this forum and being such a kind and personable friend to everyone. We really enjoy your travel adventures and I think it's perfect that the topic of travel also won as board of the month. I hope you and Duchess are doing well. I hope you have a great month. The next time you view the forum from a computer, don't forget to check your gift/trade requests by clicking on the green icon at the bottom left of the screen. I sent you a special member of the month badge. Enjoy and I wish you the best of everything. From, Christina Wow, I won something! I think the last bit of luck I had was finding a ten pound note in a hedge on Southsea Common in 1987! And what was I doing in a hedge, I hear you ask. Litter-picking. I worked for an agency doing the bins run on the seafront. Sometimes inland you had to clear up roadkill too. Glamorous, eh? I am glad that travel won too. Perhaps next week when the weather is better I can show everyone the chain ferry that connects the mainland to the Purbecks. I would like to thank all my fans... I mean, the dozen people who felt sorry for me 🤪 for voting and I shall enjoy my brief time in office. Can you only win the award the once is my only question. I've got a chicken fajita stir fry for dinner sizzling away in the wok here!

Do you take souvenirs like rocks or shells when you go to the beach?

Do you take souvenirs like rocks or shells when you go to the beach? You mean, do I take shells home with me from the beach? Hell no, there's no room with all the sand that follows me back! Last week, when the temperatures soared towards the nineties, there was this large (quite dead) eel washed ashore and I saw it on the way back to the car park. Three small boys, age range 7-9 I guess, as people walked past them, that would ask: "Would you like chips with it?" 🤣 I know chips are fries over there. It reminds me of when I was about 12 or so and my Mum was dating an American. They went out to the pub and the guy had asked me if I wanted anything brought back and I'd asked for chips, expecting a nice wrapped portion only he brought back a packet of crisps and salt and vinegar too! I would have preferred cheese and onion! 😂

My first morning in office. This was breakfast... See, I like black pudding if it's done properly or, how I like it. You go into a cafe and often it's way overdone leaving it crumbly. I've done mine where, though you can't see, the skin is firm and crispy but inside juicy and succulent. The Hog's Pudding was very nice and I'd never tried it before.
