Is there or do you think it would be a good idea to have a buy, sell and trade thread for the shop? I know there's a way to trade but not really a way to know if someone is wanting too. Or you can post items you want to buy or sell and maybe you can get them cheaper or make a little more of your money back instead of the 50% refund. Just a thought!

I think v6 is coming in 8 months and the shop might have to be recoded. I don't think I'd use this right now. I don't know about the future.

I would say no on the buy sell since the point of the shop is to earn your own items.
BUT.. I guess public trading is OK. I'm not sure if I'd use it.

Hmm maybe after the new software since we still don't know how the shop is going to be affected by the software upgrade.

I don't know. I think I'd earn the money to buy an item before I fine someone who wants to sell theirs. There's nothing wrong with keeping this here though and seeing if people jump in. If people can use it, they by all means.  |

I think that would defeat the purpose of donations and earning our own items. If that's the case then why is there a trade option? You can still donate and earn your own items. But say you have a item you bought years ago and don't really want anymore you can sell it to someone for more than you can get back for the refund and buy different items. Say you want to sell one of your items you bought for $1000 for $600. You can gift the item to the person that wants to buy then they donate $600, you're making $100 more. It was just a thought and a way to make the item feature a little more interesting. |

I think we should just see where it goes. See who's interested. If people want to sell or trade an item, I'm sure they'll post here.

It has to be sent as a trade request where she requests nothing in return. I think it also happened with staff members where she gave them badges that we can't see publicly in the shop. |

The feature is already there, just not a thread to know if someone wants to trade.. |

You all are free to use the gifts and trades if you'd like. I personally have only used the trade feature to give out awards where I didn't request an item in return. The shop feature and the award system were combined. If you do use the trade feature though, you click on the item that you want from the other person. Then, they have the option to accept or decline the request. So, if you want my Pluto badge and you want to give me your pet rock in your return, you click those icons in the trade request, and I have the option to accept or decline. |

Oh I get it lots0 and I'm not saying it's a bad idea. I'm jsut saying I don't think that I personally would use it. It could work for others. |

lots0, Go for it. The staff doesn't mind you having this thread. Anyone is welcome to post trades openly if they want, but the person knows you want to trade when you initiate the request with them.
