This isn't new information, but I thought it was interesting.
A chain of snow-capped mountains stretches across the dark expanse on Pluto informally named Cthulhu Regio.

Is "snow" really the right word to use here? Or does NASA not have another word?

I've always seen it described as "pink snow."

I can't even imagine what the mountains look like. I'm guessing really beautiful.

I can't wait for the day when we have closeup pictures of all these things. I love the idea of pink snow on the mountains.

I think it takes 9-13 years for a spacecraft to get to Pluto. Even if we had the tech today, we have a long wait for those pictures.

How come nothing that we sent has ever actually landed there?

Landing is probably too difficult.

Methane? I guess that explains the color. But it doesn't sound much like snow.

Is it fact or fiction that Japan has had pink snow? Not methane, but real snow.
