I'm worried about reproductive stuff stopping. I men, I don't even have kids and I might be a few years away from peri-menopause.

*Nods*
My period is finally regular and now I hear some women stop menstruating around 45? That's not much time to get my shizz together.

Some women definitely DO have kids later in life, but do I really want to be an older mother? I'd be going to back to school nights and everyone would be half my age.

Not everyone has their first kid at 20. A lot of people are between 30 and 40.

I know. I attribute a lot of my anxiety to a memory I have from young. One kid's grandma had to go to all the class trips, only we just thought he had an old mom. He never told us his parents died in a car crash. And at the time, being a kid, his mom being "old" was weird for us.

I'm so sorry he lost his parents. But you were a kid. You didn't know. And even if a few kids think of you as an "old mom" you have to give them some sympathy. They're just kids.

Yes and no. I'm more nitpicky than anything else.

I'm scared of my ultimate demise, but not going gray or getting wrinkles.

Meh. I've had body issues forever. So I'm not really seeing signs of "aging" necessarily. I have the same complaints I've always had.

I wouldn't say I think about this often.

I've taken a few weeks to absorb this question some more, and I think I really am affected by some physical changes. Some days, I look in the mirror and don't recognize myself.

I wouldn't say I embrace or hate any of it. I just figure it's part of life and happens to everyone.

My mother is a very cynical person. I was talking to her a couple weeks ago about how I am getting older and my skin is a lot more like hers now... my pores are enlarging and it gets dry. Mostly in my eyebrows, which sucks. I did not mean it as an insult, but I think she took it as one. She responded with “well, jeeeeeez Rach. It’s not like you're a spring chicken anymore. You’re not that much younger than me.” I just turned 32, she’s 58.
I guess I am telling this story because I felt like I needed to talk to someone about what’s going on, and she just made me feel like crap about getting old. It’s kind of ironic that I popped back in and now there are people to talk to it about.
On another note, is anybody else getting spider veins?

I've always been able to see my veins, but I'm not sure if that falls under spider veins.

Right now, I'm scared of my mortality. I'm thinking too much.
