I think this could be a good goal for money. How much money do you waste?
I eat out often. I don't wait for sales. I buy sh*t I don't need. It's time to minimize what I buy and figure out what I really NEED vs what can wait. No more impulse shopping.
Who's with me?

It might actually be easier now that everything is closed. It's a good time to make this a habit.

I'll join you and I promise I won't switch to online shopping.

It can be hard. My parents got too old that they don't drive anymore, but they learned how to use ebay and my dad is maxxing out credit cards. It's absurd.

I waste a lot of money on eating out. So I think that's the part I can change. I will learn how to prepare my own meals and start shopping at the supermarket.

^That's why it might be hard. We grew up in kind of a spoiled culture where we had 24/7 access to affordable eat-out meals.

Not even that affordable. It kills me when I think dollar menu items are cheap and then I realize I can make 15 of them had I bought the beans, cheese, and tortillas myself.

It'll help that stores and restaturants and bars are closed. Maybe I'll do some real grocery shopping and cook for myself.

What you should do is stop carrying cash. Once you see all your purchases on a CC statement, you'll be more aware of your spending.

When I stopped carrying cash, I learned how to control my spending. Cash was like disposable money. Credit is what always mattered to me.

I agree with people telling you to stop carrying cash. Once I did, I never bought a BS item again. I didn't like handing cash to the cashier.

I should stop buying clothing every time I see a sale. With everything closing, it'll be easier to break the habit.

I'm with you. I'll start by minimizing how often I go out for dinner. That'll save a lot.

I'm with you. I don't need novelty items as often as I get them. They usually end up collecting dust anyway. And I never resell them.
