It's not like you think  It takes some time to make the site then it will control itself Do you think that this forum isn't happy and safe ? This site is very nice and friendly, but Christina does a good job. I don't know if I could do the same. Give it a try You can delete when you feel failed |

You don't have to necessarily be thick-skinned, you have all the control so there's really nothing to worry about. If you have any big problems with anyone a ban is just a click away. I would suggest creating a forum that has a specific theme or a main view, something like a hobby you have that you and other members can talk about?

I guess am worried that I won't know how to deal with debates and controvercial topics. How do I be objective? I am just brainstorming and don't have a specific topic yet. |

I've had a few forums over the years, a couple of them were very successful and others not so much. I have been on ProBoards for around 15 years and it's so much harder to have an active forum now compared to back then. Message boards used to be so active but it seems like nowadays with social media and everything else people just don't use them that much anymore. Not being able to get or maintain members is what steers me away from trying again, that and not having as much free time like I used too.
