I was so glad to have found this forum. I was active and loved many forums in my teen/high school years but even the best of those died down, the teens grew up, smart phones and social media happened and it seemed like no one gave a damn about forums anymore. It made me a very sad panda. I had tried searching for ACTIVE forums with plenty of members multiple times to no avail and one day, lo and behold, if I didn't get redirected here and decided to join. This has gone above and beyond even all the forums I loved in high school. As far as community, kindness and connection and thoughtful conversation. This is IT for me in the online world. I am so happy I happened across this place. I feel like such a newb compared to some of ya'll that have been on here for years and years but I do try to contribute thoughtful and interesting topics and keep the conversation flowing and I enjoy what everyone has to say and I have definitely noticed how everyone is respectful and kind even when they disagree. I love how there is such diversity here on many levels. I am so glad to be a part of it. Even when I am not posting as much I pop in and scroll through, read a few things. Even topics I don't comment in I have often read over a bit even if I didn't feel I had anything worth adding. You guys are awesome! Thanks for welcoming me so readily!  |

It is easier for me to be social online than in real life. This forum has helped me with both. To some, they just see words on the screen to read. To some, they don't see how it is possible that words on a screen can feel like a hug, pat on the back and a handshake. I may not post as much because of life stuff, but I am constantly reminded that people care here and want me to share my feelings and such. For that, I am grateful and feel blessed to be a part of this forum. Things like this make me honored and proud to be here. |

I still can't believe my user ID is TWO. I was the next person to join the forum after the admin. I've grown into a mature woman here and it's hard to process that I've been here more than half my life. It's greater than anything I ever would have imagined.
