To those in Secret Santa, would you enjoy a package full of foods and toiletries that are all from local stores, things you can't get in your stores or big box stores?
Also, do you think it would be nice to make a few to give to charity this Thanksgiving/Christmas?

Custom and unique gifts are my favorite kinds. I love things that are one-of-a-kind. I love when people make something custom just for me that no one else in the world will have. I think that doing this for anyone is a loving gesture.

I like this idea, but I also have sensitive skin. I like food, I try to keep sugar somewhat limited though so there is also that to consider. I agree though that a gift like this that is curated and put together would be pretty fun. I mean, really, in adulthood, I wouldn't even complain about like gift cards to places like Aldi, County Market, Amazon because ya know what...groceries and household supplies add up and when someone gives you money or a gift card that covers that it frees up more funds to do something FUN with!

Like a homemade version of those snack packs that catalogs overcharge for would rock, ya know like summer sausages, fancy cheese, hot cocoa mixes, cheese spreads and yummy crackers are awesome. Especially like local things as you mention like local made jams/jellies, local honey, cheese curds and that type of thing. Toiletries might be cool if, as you say, they are local and not easy found at big box such as homemade soaps like goat milk soaps are pretty nice or soaps made with herbs or essential oils, I'm always a sucker for those. I also have really enjoyed things like beeswax wraps, or beeswax hand creme and things along those lines, homemade solid lotion bars are very nice too. I just can't do too much of soaps that are like all jazzed out with artificial fragrances (things like bath and body works and other highly scented/artificial stuff wrecks my skin) so I tend to be wary of things like soaps, lotions and fragrances if it's going to tear up my skin.
