A friend and and I are travelling to Greece for 8 days, flying into Athens on the 10th and leaving Ath on the 18th. We are trying to decide which of the two islands out of the following four should we stay at: Mykonos, Santorini, Milos, Crete. Any tips and suggestions? looked at prices in Oia, Santorini and they are ridiculous.  Not trying to spend $1000 on a room. |

I was in Greece last October and went to Milos and Sifnos - both aren't really touristy.

We did 3 days in Santorini and 3 days in Milos. Felt like a good mix of touristy and low-key

I went to Athens and Santorini last year I loved both. On Santorini we stayed in an Airbnb on the non-touristy (Akrotiri) end of the island with a stunning caldera view. It was gorgeous. We did a catamaran boat /snorkeling tour around the caldera. The food in greece was awesome.
