Sometimes I wish I never had children. I miss privacy and being spontaneous. I miss alone time with my SO. I miss vacations and having money.
Sometimes.
Not all the time, but sometimes.

This is the main reason I"m terrified to adopt. I know you don't regret constantly and you just have stray thoughs. But a kid is at least an 18-year responsibility.

Maybe you also feel that way because it's getting more common for people NOT to have kids. So a lot of your 30plus-year-old friends might not have kids.
