Is it a day for friends or a day for romance? My parents are the odd ones. They legit think it's a day for me to send them cards. But I always thought of it more as a romantic holiday. Not one to worship your parents.

I consider it to be a romantic holiday to. Giving your parents valentines as an adult is just weird.

They also want me to give them a card on THEIR anniversary btw. And I don't know when that is.. It's not like I was alive when they got married.

It's weird that they REQUIRE it, but it's not weird to tell your parents you love them.

My dad is dead and I don't talk to my mom. Never really liked her. So, she doesn't expect it from me.

I think it's weird that they make it a demand. It's more something they should celebrate with each other and not you, unless you all are really really close.

I think you can give valentines to anyone, even your boss. Just show appreciation to the people in your life.

I’ve always considered it a romantic holiday, but nothing wrong with sending your other loved ones cards or gifts. Seems rude that your parents expect it though.
