Probably not going to do the elf on the shelf tradition if I have kids. But it's fun to play with coworkers.

Skittles RainbowElf on the Shelf....just another way to bring Christmas to little kids. This 'Elf' moves around and causes small chaos in the house. He/she reports back to Santa if you are good or bad and such. Also, the kids aren't allowed to touch the Elf. It's just a way to keep the kids excited about Christmas without Santa being there all the time.

Little elf sits around watching your kids and judging them to make sure they behave and that santa brings them gifts. You move the elf every night to give the impression that it is alive and moves when no one is around. Actually a little creepy, though you can have fun with it by making stories to go along with it.
