This was the latest update from his brother.
“As anticipated, Alex breezed through the in-patient rehab and today was released from the hospital! Alex is still battling an infection and will continue with outpatient cognitive rehab before having reconstructive surgery sometime in May (or later).
We know it is going to be a lot of work on Alex’s part but he is motivated and working hard. Alex will continue to stay with family. We will limit visitors to help keep Alex focused and to avoid exposure to germs.
We are so thankful for the work of the medical professionals as well as the love and support from friends and family that brought us to this day. Alex has truly stayed strong…we could not be more proud of how hard he is fighting. Alex is staying with family during the recovery process...so we are thankful for him being near by.”
