It depends on whether or not you use synthetic but most people agree on 5k unless you're a big car nut

5-7k or twice a year. i switched to full synthetic oil after my car hit 200k miles.
older cars back in the day required 3000 mile oil changes, but with newer engines using full synthetic oil, you can push it to 7-10k. depends on the manufacturer. you still need to change it twice per year. when i had regular oil, i used to change it every 3000 miles because i always drove older cars.
