Gonna be in town all week, no plans besides most of wed/thurs. Just planning to bum around a bit. Any tips? Not my first trip ever but havent spent a any time in nyc.
This was a goal and I'm going to make it happen the first month!

You will see panhandlers and hookers on your normal walk. Just don't talk to them. They can't touch you.

Hit up Sbarro in Times Square. It's better than what you have in KY.

Don't talk to strangers. The NE is not friendly. Seriously..

Times Square is very loud and crowded. Might be a culture shock if you're used to a farm lifestye.

If you are down south, protect yourself, don't carry anything with you that you don't want stolen, don't be friendly or talk to people in the street, it's a very different culture.

Read a street smart guide to NYC before you go.

Be safe. Take tips from the east coasters and you'll be fine.
