Thought this would be nice to do, even starting small with recycling, and reusing things I can reuse.
Also, I live in an area where windmills and solar panels are an option. My family is buying a fixer upper and it has an acre and redwoods on it. I would like to install a windmill or solar panels.

I think you can get PAID to have a windmill on your property in most cases.

All the little things do ad up. Reuse paper and plastic bags from stores for your garbage bags.

Why don't windmills have solar panel blades?

Srs reply, there are calculators that can give you a banged out answer. But if you have a little cabin and don't cut down trees that's not going to work out.

I've heard of problems with wind - noise, birds/bats flying in the blades, constant maintenance. Solar is looking better

neither are good in forests, but if you clear a big enough area, solar will definitely do better than wind

I bet your neighbors will have some good ideas in this area - if you've met them yet. Not sure how close you are to your neighbors.

This is a great idea and I can think of so many little things I can do that will add up over time.

I definitely always recycle, but I can definitely pick up some of the litter/bottles I see everywhere.
