What's the difference between Chanukah and Hanukkah btw? American language does not have the Israeli sound in the Alphabet. Hanukkah is Americanized. Chanukah is closer to the Hebrew word.

ORLY? How do you say Hanukkah in Hebrew? חנוכה but you don't have American sound, so I can't write it phonetically So you said the CH is closer to the sound? Interesting. I did not know that. It's interesting that Hanukkah is the more common spelling.

It is kind of like H sound in Jose in Spanish, but also like CH sound in Loch Ness. But it is the H and CH together. I think it is close to X sound in Greek. It is not the same as the X sound in English.

חנוכה but you don't have American sound, so I can't write it phonetically How come the H spelling has two Ks and the CH spelling has one K? Hanu kkah Chanu kah It is the same reason. More Ns or more Ks are because American alphabet doesn't have the same letters as Hebrew alphabet. People try to spell it may ways, this list is in order of how often they are used, the most often is at the top. Hanukkah Chanukah Hanukah Hannukah Chanuka Chanukkah Hanuka Channukah Chanukka Hanukka Hannuka Hannukkah Channuka Xanuka Hannukka Channukkah Channukka Chanuqa :
