Why is there no edit or delete option any longer?

iirc, you are able to edit/delete a post up to 10 minutes after posting. This functionality should be used to make quick edits rather than give updates.

I don't have these options any longer for some reason.

No one can delete. Everyone can edit for up to 10 minutes.
The TOS says we have to be given a minimum of 5 minutes.

Happy this was implimented here. Seemed like some people were abusing search, edit, and delete.

The edit button should disappear after 10 mins. The delete button should never be there for anyone.

When I asked, they said the TOS only requires you to allow you to edit 5 mins after you post and that we were given an extra 5-10 here. So it's 10-15.

Search, edit, and delete were being abused. Proboards only requires me to allow members to edit posts within 5 minutes. I previously had this option open, but then changed it to 10 minutes. It is currently set to 12 minutes. After 12 minutes, you will no longer be able to edit the post. Deleting posts is disabled completely.

12 minutes is fair. No reason to go back and edit most things that long after.

Too many extra page loads. Sever strain. Using all the ad-free. Then people were editing and deleting to pretend something never happened. One person tried to delete every post he ever made before he left.... and cost us a few hundred page loads of ad-free.
