Based only on experience, my one friend who can fall alseep anywhere anytime doesn't remember any of his dreams. He remembers maybe ONE A MONTH.

I think it depends overall on how active your mind is and how often you daydream.

I heard that too about daydreams. But I guess those are easier to remember since you're already awake.

Not necessarily. For some, they can be like a night dream. You can forget as soon as you snap out of it.

^That happens to a guy I work with. Sorta. He often tells me he daydreams in the car and has no memory of getting to work.

I'm hardly ever anxious about anything and never have any trouble sleeping. I very, very rarely remember any dreams.
Last night was a rare occassion. I dreamt I was hosting Mike and Mike with Mike Greenberg. Weird.

Scientifically, yes, the deeper and better you sleep, the less dreams you have. You only have dreams during the REM period of your sleep when you are directly between fully awake and falling deeply asleep. This was explained to me by a technician who was doing a sleep study on me. She told me that she couldn't get accurate results because I was stuck in REM sleep most of the night and kept waking up and never went into a deep sleep.
And yes, I was very, very anxious at the time and that's why I couldn't fall asleep deeply because I was attached to all these weird wires and things and could hardly move. I hated it a whole lot. So I had a lot more REM sleep because I was anxious.
But this has NOTHING to do with remembering your dreams when you wake-up. No one remembers all the dreams they have during the night and everyone has dreams at least once per night. You only remember them if you wake-up quickly when you are in the middle of REM sleep. If you wake-up quickly from deep sleep or wake-up slowly on your own, you were not in the middle of dreaming when you woke-up so you won't remember it.
