What's your favorite kind of weather? Do you regret not getting married or having kids? it would be great if there were a place where it was seventy every day. for the most part, i like the weather here in middle tennessee. this winter was a bytch, but, there hadn't been a bad one for four years. we get forty-five inches of rain a year, so that is nice. not really. as i said before, i've seen marriage ruin really good relationships. until 1987, the longest that i was with the same girl was two years. that's not conducive to raising a kid from scratch. when i was fifty, i lost a great girl because she was determined to have another kid, and i was determined that i wasn't going to. i knew that, by the time the kid was 13 or so, i wouldn't be physically able to play football with him, or do any of the other things a father should do with his kid i'm fine with having had other girl's kids

Did you ever have an 8-track player? a couple. i had a '78 lincoln continental which came with an eight track. i had a couple of 8 tracks for the house. i did, and still do, prefer cassettes. cd's had been around for ten years before i was forced to buy one. the only reason that i got a cd player is because i wanted "i understand" by freddie and the dreamers. it was ONLY available on cd, and hadn't been available in the u.s. for five years. i had to order the cd from the netherlands, then buy a cd player, so i could record it on cassettes. twenty years ago, it cost me $130 to put that one song on cassette. there were nineteen songs on the cd, and i didn't like any of the rest of them

Do you feel the same about VHS vs DVD?

Do you feel the same about VHS vs DVD? yes. dvd's suck. you cannot fast forward through them, for one thing. i only have about forty tapes left, after a couple of moves. i had to leave over a hundred behind when i left california. before i sold the place in southern california, i had seven vcr's hooked up through one. every day, i would tape different shows on different channels. in the morning, i would fast forward through the tapes and copy the parts that i wanted to keep. my tape of the north hollywood bank robbery is half an hour of the two pieces of shyt dying, in slow motion and frame by frame. you can't do that with a dvd

You know what, it really is so much easier to record on vhs and cassette. it definitely is. i have a vcr/dvd burner, but haven't had it out in several years. recording tv shows on dvd can be done, but it's a pain in the ass. tape, there's nothing to it
