IMO cartoons have a lot of adult themes that KIDS actually shouldn't be watching.

the creators of these shows have both children and adults in mind. for example, have any of you watched the animaniacs recently? or adventure time? these don't look like they would be child-friendly shows but since kids still have a level of innocence, they don't recognize the crude humor.

Yes, there are a lot of cartoons meant for adults, like The Simpson, King of the Hill, or South Park. Though, there are many kids shows without another "adult" in them. I still watch a bunch of cartoons and I have stayed away from anything with "adult cartoons.". Yes, I still watch Spongebob, loony tunes, and pokemon.

Maybe if you think the old version of that cartoon is perfect, but even though I grew up with it and liked it a lot as a kid, I think nowadays, it's kind of stupid. Back in the 90's, superhero cartoons (which I loved back then) had so many stupid puns and catchphrases that make me cringe as an adult. The animation isn't as good as nowadays. My husband and I watch the new Nickelodeon TMNT cartoon that is still airing new episodes right now. We love it. It is MUCH better than the one we grew-up with. No stupid puns. The animation is beautiful. The characters are more highly developed (all of them don't seem like the same character to me like they did in the original cartoon) and the action scenes are fantastic. |
