I mean that collectively people are nice and helpful. It's a shame most of the replies some people make feels like they were copied and pasted from some book.

It's really annoying seeing notifications and then only discovering that they're likes and not replies.

You just have to be more open to people being helpful and nice. Not everyone online is mean.

I do still prefer forums to other types of social media. Your feedback means a lot to me and I really do appreciate your words of kindness. I prefer textual communications over any other form. Please keep this social forum around. Thank you, have a nice day. Thanks,-- Starpony

You just have to be more open to people being helpful and nice. Not everyone online is mean. There is still a difference from replies that are actually nice and helpful and replies that just appears so like a generic complainant. I've sometimes been told by a friend that it was rude not to acknowledge someone who addressed your question which I've been trying to work on by at least replying with, "ok", just for them; however, for me personally, it sometimes seems like this is even ruder since it's probably better not to reply if you have nothing to say then to just say something which seems to make the person appear idiotic. Dunno, just an observation I noticed. I'm not the only one though.

^I never reply with "ok" If I have nothing to say, I just don't say anything
(This is for text messages mostly)
I hate getting texts that say k or ok.
I guess you'll get different replies at different times depending on the topics and moods and so on.

Messages like that are usually just conversation enders, it seems.

It is an ender. I hate when I type out a long text such as
Hey there, had a long day, sorry I didnt call last night. I was busy with work. Hope you are great,we should get together soon.
Then they go "K"

If you don't want to see notifications for likes, go into your settings under notifications and uncheck post likes. ouob

It's so people don't abuse the karma feature. So actual posts change karma and nothing else.
