I enjoy holding hands, arm around the waist, sitting close, being affectionate and kissing is cool too in moderation. But full on lip locking, or intense displays are too much for me.
I was at a Murder Mystery Dinner 2 weekends ago and this couple was going at it, like full on kissing, holding each other tightly, rubbing all over...now it was an intimate environment and we had been drinking, but lol, felt like they needed to get a room. Plus they are newly dating, so I can kind of understand why they'd act like that.
How much do you display and how much do you care to see?

Nothing too intense. About the level you said, otherwise no one needs to see that.

Almost none unless we're either parting or rejoining for/from an absence of several days. In that case a hug and maybe a quick kiss. Occasionally we hold hands if we're walking together but that's pretty rare.
We always sit across from each other when eating in restaurants. I don't understand couples that sit on the same side with no one across from them, seems like a pain to talk to each other in that scenario.

I just give pecks, hold hands, and hug in public, basically.
But when I had my first boyfriend, I made out with him in public, but that was only because I had no choice. His Mom said we weren't allowed to kiss or even hold hands before marriage. She got mad at us for doing any of those things and got my parents to agree to the rules as well, so we had to be in public to ever kiss at all.
