I think we should enact some type of notification system for when posts are deleted or edited for whatever reason.
I propose that mods do at least one of the following (the first being my preference) : 1) Replace the offending post with a statement from the mod saying that it has been deleted or edited and the reason for it. 2) At the very least notify the offender via PM that their post has been deleted or edited and the reason why.
A little transparency will go a long way and also reduce confusion. For example, I believe I had a post deleted earlier today and when I came back to the thread, not finding it, my first thought was that I hadn't really posted it and I should repost.... which is, of course, contrary to any mod actions.

I personally haven't deleted or edited anyones posts but I do believe that mods notify the member. So your [HASH]2 is being done already. There may have been some times it wasn't done, I'm not sure.
That said, I agree all you mentioned should be done.

As a controversial member of this forum I must say, with the exception of a recent post edited by Tiki, that I am not aware of any of my posts ever being edited or deleted.
I have infamously had them moved and there seems to be a campaign to lock threads that I participate in. Presumably to build some sort of case against me.
But none of my posts have been deleted.
That said, I have not been notified about any actions that were taken via PM. I've been taunted but not informed.
Not only do I agree that members on a forum should be informed of edits or deletions by staff members, but I also think that the original posts should be archived both to protect the forum from false assertions by members and so the original posts can be accessible if requested by the member.
Deleting or editing posts without informing members, not archiving original posts and not providing original posts on request by the member is wrong in my opinion.

Things that break the TOS are deleted immediately. You will not be notified of those by PM. Everything else is in your automatic notifications.

Filters will automatically remove certain words, or images with certain words. If you broke the TOS, you won't be notified. It's automatically edited.

Christina is the only one who can delete besides the person who posted it. And she won't be online for another week. She's sick. So check what you did there.

Tiki and Christina were the only ones who could edit. Tiki is gone. Leaves Christina.
I think the mods here can only lock.
Xea might be the only one who can move.

The spam filter is bugged. Read the bugs thread. Threads were accidentally combined when people made a lot of posts in the same board.
But, TMI, only the admin can delete, and then yourself, well whoever made the post.

Click the bubble with the [HASH] over the word "profile."

TOS filter gets rid of vulgar words, sometimes curses, sometimes sexual, in the form of texts or images.
If it was that, it wasn't a moderator.

I can't edit or delete posts. The mods can only LOCK in boards where their name appears on the front page.
Check your notifications.
Or read the TOS to see why something was auto censored.
