My sweat tends to smell like whatever I've been eating.

My mother used to tell me it smells more because of the hair, but I shave and still smell so It smells either way, but it's less bad without hair because the hair traps the sweat and therefore increases the smell.

I think there are actually different kinds of sweat. Regular sweat can come from any area of your body and is designed to cool the body temperature when it is too high. This kind of sweat isn't as odorous as the kind that comes from your armpits or your 'other' parts, which produces a different kind of sweat that stains and smells different.

There are different sweat glands associated with different parts of the body. The sweat glands the release sweat in the armpits are apocrine glands and secrete sweat with lots of oil. Sweat itself doesn't smell but the bacteria on your skin will eat the secretion and create odor. Essentially you're smeling bacteria farts! Hair just increase the area the bacteria can be so it can but not necessarily increases body odor. ouob
