It's locked. Someone (not me) locked it. If you have concerns about the thread being locked, then ask the admin. But I think is has already been established the reason it is locked because it went off topic and turned into a useless argument. Staff locks threads by the rules, not for personal reasons. So, let us move on.

I didn't lock the thread either. If Christina did it, then she had good reasons to do so. We hardly lock any threads on there even though most of the threads on there devolve into very mean and petty fights. I honestly think we should be locking more threads in that section, not less, so I completely disagree with you.
People get upset during debates. While it's not necessarily a productive emotion, everyone experiences it eventually. It's just the truth of how things are. And mocking whoever it was for having that emotion is just adding fuel to the fire.

Threads are rarely locked on this forum. When it turns into one on one hurtful attacks, they are no longer on topic.

Personal attacks = lock it. Any other reason it should stay open. So what if it goes off topic, half the threads around here do.

I guess the main thing is to just respect it and move on.
If yarn,or adiaw, or even you locked something in the board you moderate, I wouldnt ask you to reopen it. You can usually just tell when something goes sour anyway. I agree that not everyone will agree. That makes for a debate. But personal, hateful messages, arent debates. It's just harassment.
