The Library was established by multiple people including myself who had posted together for several years.
After losing our posts and connections by forums and admins with one problem or another we started The Library as a place that would be a sanctuary, would be member run and would not go away suddenly (hopefully).

Due to intimidation by our friend Shadow a number of years ago who insinuated that he would report the forum and its members for supposed copyright infringement while purposefully hot-linking to clearly copyrighted material and the resulting actions and security to prevent that from happening we lost many members.

An example...


The posts were no different than other forums but we were new at the game so we removed anything that could possibly be an issue, like cartoons, put in security codes and limited access to the forum.

In addition, there was a series of personal tragedies among our group that dampened the spirit of the forum.

The forum is very deep but the membership is pretty nonexistent as far as posting these days.
It has mostly become a place to do research and to meet up.
I am the one who is currently doing almost all of the coding.

We have hosted an annual Haunted Maze each year that is a series of Halloween themed boards that are linked like a maze.
The goal is to figure out the required password and find the way out.

We have also hosted live chats between multiple forums during events like the Presidential debates.

I'm pretty excited about the V5 version of the forum that we are building.
I think people will find it very useful as a hub between all types of forums and a place to do research.
A community library like the name implies.
It will also make it easier for people to find the gems in our forum that currently take too much effort to find.
Not to mention the obvious loading issues that are a real distraction.
We plan to make the conversion in time for our anniversary in October.
It's a lot of work.

We've given up on worrying about membership preferring quality over quantity.
I enjoy the Library for what it is and basically feel that if we build it good people will come.

I don't play any sports anymore.

Sadly, I rarely watch sports since I rarely watch television.

I like professional football the best but can watch almost any sport but basketball.

I like for the Red Sox and the Patriots to do well.

I also like Japan's version of the Red Sox...the Hanshin Tigers.

Strange as it sounds, I used to be a big fan of Sumo.
I actually knew Akebono's mother, Jan Rowan who has since passed away.
Akebono Taro (aka: Chad Rowan) is the first foreign Grand Champion in Sumo history.
He is from Hawaii.
He was unable to take over his 'stable' when he retired and had to resort to the comical type wrestling to make a living...Very sad.
There were three other wrestlers from Hawaii and one from St. Louis.
Akebono and Musashimaru became Grand Champions.
This is IZ's tribute to the three best in order of greatness...



I still enjoy Sumo but I don't know the wrestlers as well anymore.

For the baseball fans...Keep an eye on a 19 year old Japanese rookie named Shohei Otani.

He made the Japanese All-Stars just out of high school, plays left field, is a pitcher who can throw a 98 MPH fastball and has a .305 batting average with a team called the Fighters.

The forums are my blog and my diary.
I sometimes put a lot of research and time into posts.
I'm not very good at it but I try to save some of my better posts on and offline.
There is a board for my 'archived' posts at The Library but its not open to the public.
I learn so much from the exchanges on the forums.
The archive saves me time if I want to reuse some of my past research.
The archive keep me and my foes honest.
One of the things that irritates many who want to move on from past statements without looking back.
I strive to be consistent so the archive helps.

Nothing worse than to be separated from your past posts and personal messages.
That has happened too many times.
That's the reason I started 'archiving'.
I think admins should be appreciative of that even with regard to perceived rogues and a loss of interest themselves.

I've procrastinated about writing a paper/book about the importance of preserving the intentions of the Founders by increasing the amount of representation in the House of Representatives in a way proposed by the First Congress.
It would be my best proposal for addressing the corrupted and unrestrained federal government that we currently have.
Not an interesting subject for many and there are a lot of 'originalist' books these days.

Why is it worth your time then?
There may not be much posting but we're cool with guests and lurkers.
I do it most of the time myself and just use the tools.
That includes a stalking troublemaker like you who hides behind numerous usernames and IPs looking for your next opportunity to cause problems.
Like a 6 year old you drop little coded messages in your posts as if you're proud that you're getting away with something.
Get a life creep or simply concentrate on your fatherly facade here.

Best vacation was probably a trip to Jamaica.
We booked ourselves into two of the four Sandals Resorts and visited all four.
They say they don't provide transportation between the resorts but they do.
We also got an upgrade.
As we usually do we went out to see the real country and visited Kingston.
Dunns River Falls, Fern Gully, Negril were all wonderful.
The resort dive stretched the rules in depth and time so we could swim through a sunken ship.

Hints:

When taking the qualification test for a resort dive, wear swimming goggles and keep as much of your body under the water as possible.

Tipping is supposedly not allowed but we gave tips by holding the bills under the plate.
After that the service was unbelievable.
The servers knew our preferences and it was almost as if they read our minds.

Vendors at the top of Dunns River Falls are willing to trade artwork and carvings for clothing and other items.

If you position yourself in the right way at the top of the falls you can create a perfect enclosure within the water.

Skip the Bob Marley Museum.

People in Jamaica seem quite friendly and relaxed, despite the impression one might get from the broken bottles embedded in the cement on top of the walls surrounding the resorts.

There seems to be some racism that exists for white people and Americans but it's not pervasive.
