Some people seem to abuse sex in a relationship and either use seduction to get things from their partner, or lack of a sex as a reason to leave their partner.
Do you think sex is a basic right? Do you think it should have that much power in a relationship?

I dont think people should abuse it or force it from their partner, but I think intimacy is important to have.

I think in marriage unless otherwise stated it's a reasonable expectation that the two of you would be sleeping together on a regular basis... Personally I think sex is not only "sex" it's also intimacy on an emotional level (woman's POV here) but I DO think it's messed up to withhold sex from your partner and use it as a punishment/ hold that power over them. Sex should never be used as a tool to control somebody one way or the other.

I dont think anyone should be obligated or forced into it.
It shouldnt be used to manipulate people either.
It should be when both people want to be intimate with each other.

My gf sure uses it against me. She flirts or offers "favors" when she wants money.

I was about to say it wasn't based on the title thinking of asexuals, but this involves a relationship and not generality.
So, I guess it's not necessarily a necessity, but it definitely brings a different level of intimacy, trust, etc. to a relationship and it is up to a couple to decide how important sex is in their relationship.

I think boyfriends and girlfriends should have a bond that's closer than a male and female friend, but sex shouldnt be expected or demanded.

It's sad that Sex gets used for a lot of things, besides just making a relationship stronger.
