Edit: the only downside I can see is that people might spam for more money.

maybe yarn can edit the money person to person, so if they spam it's minus 20 dollars or something

This other board I go to has a shop, and the owner made it so that after you earn so much money a day, you can post all you want but you don't earn anymore for that day. Helps with spam.

I'm doing items.. I'm not changing colors. but... UPDATE I have a shop code working.. Here is the issue. If you never set yourself custom text, you will never ever be allowed to set it... If you have custom text, it will forever stay what it is, but you will have to reset your avatar. (Weird, I know.) Also, you won't be able to change the order of your items. They will forever stay in the order than you bought them (unless you sell some back). I will be able to edit your money, so any spamming to earn extra $$ can easily be taken care of.  It also may look weird with Karma enabled:  Basically there will be a shop button next to your logout button. Once you click on it, it'll take you to a list of items. So far I just stuck a balloon in it. (Sorry it's kinda hard to see)  If you have a lot of items, it'll go to the next line:  |

most people on here dont use the custom text anyway. it shouldn't be a big deal
