Swimming is awesome. I grew up next to water and thus grew up swimming, but nothing scares me more than being in deep brackish water where you can't touch bottom, can't see more than 3 feet in front of you, and have no way of knowing how deep it is or what exactly is beneath you

I get more scared swimming in dark lakes than I do in the ocean.

lol when i was in hawaii i was having fun in the ocean until i realized i had gotten out pretty far
humans aren't supposed to be there

I feel a sense of urgency when my feet cannot touch the bottom, but I imagine this would be lessened were I in clear water (all water around here is stained brown from the clay in the ground)

I love swimming, but when I'm by myself in a pool and start doing laps in the deep end, I get freaked the **** out.
I do not go in the ocean. Ever

When I was younger, I was sailing with my family. Took my glasses off while we were anchored and jumped into the ocean. Nanoseconds later, I felt about 6 jellyfish sting my body. Jumped out of the water, back onto the boat, and proceeded to piss all over myself to quell the stings.
