It was broken for about 2 weeks. The temp gauge said it was reaching about 93 INSIDE the car.
Will probably only last a day lol
Didnt have the money to replace the unit

Did you use the recharge kit that has lubrication oil, and leak sealer?

You use A/C Pro? sh*t is awesome. The other can also is great for fixing leaks in your compressor. Hell of a lot cheaper and faster than going to a mechanic.

is it as affective as taking it to a mechanic? don't the mechanics run a leak test and ensure everything is fine? easier than an oil change?

Only takes 5 min. Just unscrew the low pressure valve cap and fill it up

leak test = adding colored dye to the refrigerant, which is also available at the auto parts store in a DIY kit

Mechanics are supposed to use a vacuum pump that removes moisture and contaminants from the system.
