On January 18th, ProBoards is joining many Internet sites including Google, Wikipedia, Reddit, and many others in protesting two bills, SOPA and PIPA, that are going through Congress. This bills threaten the free and open Internet, potentially leading to censorship of the Internet.

For 24 hours, all forums that are not ad-free will have a notice displayed at the top of every page. On January 19th, the notice will automatically disappear.

We apologize for this inconvenience if it bothers you, however if our legislature censors the Internet we will have worse things to worry about then a small notice on the top of forums for one day.
