If "this is not who [you are]" then obviously it isn't about you. I'm from Texas, if you want to dress as a cowboy or an oil driller with a southern accent, you go right ahead. I'm not that person, so why should I care? If you want to dress as a nerdy white girl who corrects everyone's grammar, I may take offense, but only if you get the corrections wrong.
