i used gimp in college. it was meh. photoshop cs 5.1 is much better. i'm making my site 100% photoshop, like creating a grungy looking website. i'll post work here and ask for opinions.

Meh, on a value per cost basis, GIMP wins by a few dozen infinity percentiles. And, personally, I find GIMP much easier to navigate than photoshop (probably because I learned it first) - but I'm also no artist so what do I know. -darc

If you are referring to graphic design, I do graphics sometimes. School makes me so busy that I don't really have the time sadly. Even if I had the time, my desktop (which is the computer I prefer for designing as my stock images and such are on it) has really not been in good shape performance-wise these past couple months. I really only get to design on the weekends, breaks from school, etc. I rarely even feel like designing then though. I've never been too good sadly, but I'm pretty sure I've seen your work before, you certainly have talent if I'm not mistaken. Anyways, as everyone said, it belongs in the gallery, that's where I have my graphic design portfolio, it's somewhere in the board anyways. thank you and whats with you guys about gimp and all xD paint shop pro ftw i used that before i got to work with photoshopand im actually wondering now, what kind of tips/tricks or tutorials are you guys interested in? i mostly do tutorials on fan art graphics like my Linkin Park signature here, i think not many are interested in that kinda stuff here, but maybe im wrong.

SD, I certainly wouldn't mind learning how you did that text effect in your Linkin Park signature.

SD, I certainly wouldn't mind learning how you did that text effect in your Linkin Park signature. thanks, im glad you like it someone else at this other forum also asked about it but then i realized the effects and all only look good on that particular signature... so im afraid thats going to be a no xD I think a few people would be interesting in learning how to blend pics better in photoshop oki that can be arranged although its quite simple actually, cant explain much about that but ill give it a shot Waiting for SD's super thread!! oh dear, dont expect that much from it! ill definitely try to the first thing that got mentioned up^ and i could always post my excisting tutorials but like i said, i make mostly fan art stuff, i dont think anyone is interested in those things here as a lot are older etc im not the queen in photoshop or anything but people can always request things or so, like if they wanna know stuff how its done etc i can for example show some recent fan art i made and if anyone is interested on how certain things are done...
