What did I do in the 90s for fun? No computer, no cable, no consoles. We went to the neighbors house who had a mean, child eating chow. We used to race from the trampoline to the swingset/jungle gym and taunt the dog the whole time. We had to trick the dog into giving us enough room to make it each way.

Things are better to an extent. It's great to have all that technology now, but we played outside because we didn't have that sh*t.
Playing outside shaped us to be what we are now. What are the kids that AREN'T playing outside because they have all this technology going to be like in twenty years?

There were only a few reasons you'd be indoors as a kid:
1. You are at school 2. There was a tornado siren going off 3. You were eating lunch/dinner 4. You were sleeping.

street lights are how you knew it was time to go home.
neighbors parents were just like yours... meaning they'd bust your ass if you ****ed up.... but they also looked after you.
snow meant all day snow ball fights and not staying in all day.
catching bugs was better than anything on TV.
Building tree forts ftw.
Breaking bones sucked, but whatever... it happens

I cant begin to tell you how happy I am that there was no internet when I was a kid. There were online BBS' I used to call up (with a fast 1200 baud modem!) that was all ASCII characters. Good times.
