where would you go (for cheap)  I would love to move to Manhattan but I don't have the $15,000/month it would take to live there. I have more like $2k/month to live on so what options does that leave me with. I'm thinking some city in Texas would be first on the list, then maybe a mining town in West Virginia and moving down to Missouri, Kansas, Mississippi, South Carolina, etc. I have a dog and she needs a yard so apartment living isn't the best option. |

Isn't Denver a bit pricey though... Like if I wanted to buy a 1500 sq/ft house with a fenced yard for $150k, could I?

Cheap? I'd probably go really far east to the coast, supposedly it's quite cheap over there.
Not for long though, I'd probably leave for winter because it sounds like they get right ****ed around then.

If it were me - Colorado or Oregon. Vermont / New Hampshire / Maine are cool too if you're down for nasty winters

Kind of an interesting poor area
It has a renovated old school southern downtown that nobody ever goes to... complete with a 4-star hotel out of ****ing nowhere
