with all that moisture in alaska you might miss the rain fly on the side that it doesn't reach the ground
just more room for leaks

I think the mesh is about a foot higher so I don't think it will be a problem

i have a eureka 4 person tent around here somewhere, its held up well
i figured i dont need that much room though so i got an LL bean 1 person tent
good thing too because i gotta fly to portland with my camping sh*t and i dont want to check any bags if i can help it

yeah my friends told me "oh youre gonna want a lot of room and etc"
i dont think they ever took into account that i was the only one sleeping in the ****in thing
got sick of setting up a 4 person tent for just me, lol

how do your tents get wrecked? i burned a hole in the floor of the aforementioned eureka but other than that, no problems
