I joined because I had spent 5yrs at another forum and it got so restrictive due to them wanting to make money off of sponsored links that I couldn't stand it anymore.
Coming here is a great release from every day, real life stresses. I know I'm new and came out with guns blazing, but I genuinely dig it over here already.
You all rock pretty hard. Real talk.

I've looked at what some other forums have to offer, and nothing compares to this.
If there ever comes a time when BBOY gets shut down (god help us it won't) I don't know if I will ever go to another forum. This is and will always be my home.

Before this, I belonged to a small computer forum and seen the value in it but became bored over time. I found three that I was interested in cheking out via google and chose this one. My only regret is that I'm not able to share as much as I would like to for personal reasons but I contribute when I can.

Back when I joined, there was a gaming section. Yarny had picked me and a few other people out from a gaming site and contacted us, saying she wanted us to help beef up the section.
The others didn't respond, I signed up, but couldn't really help, since I'm more into 'old school', rather than the current gaming scene, so the section went away anyhow. But I didn't.
