Will a big fish pull you crazy far? I remember hooking a 120 lb tarpon near the bridge by key largo and it pulled us for 2 hours as we reeled that guy in

A 10 foot kayak is going to paddle like sh!t for longer excursions. not really going too far, a couple miles tops. the creeks around here are tiny, just need to have a kayak to get to certain spots (oyster beds, trenches, etc) and to avoid all the shore crowds

Malibu Stealth 14. Love that thing, and can fish standing up in it. Got to get a pump going to make the center hatch a live well still.

How big a fish can you handle in one? I'm thinking the bigest maybe a decent size striper

I picked the malibu stealth 14 over the 12. More storage, and can hold more weight (I'm a big guy). Also tracked better in the water. Thing is heavy at 70ish pounds. But stable as heck, managed to stand up in it the first day I got it. Has fishing pole holes in already.

may have found something different, it's a sit in kayak, 9.5 foot featherlite by heritage. I'm going to look at it today, doesn't have rod holders, but I'm sure something could be rigged up. www.heritagekayaks.com/featherlite95.htmwhat would you guys say the better kayak is?
