i'm not saying i'm right or wrong. i can only state my opinion based on what he has done to me.
yes bans should be based mostly on a tos violation. i know it's wrong to ban someone based on a personality clash and i would agree if say it were me and you that didn't get along. but it's tfe who can't get along with over 1/2 the board. in a case like this, where yarn is probably getting 10 or more PMs a day, and reports of his threads, i think it was wise to temporarily remove him.
i believe he was banned again for what went on last night and only last night, not past events. he was posting chat logs, spam (that got deleted) among other things. i do not think it was for past harassment. it was all for last night's events

When I made the thread, I wasn't aware of anything that went on except for the thread that is still up, as there was no mention of PMs or spam anywhere that I could see. That's wrong. That's what I'm arguing against. Yarny shouldn't be bombarded by PMs or emails just because people are being offended by someone who's clearly never serious about what they say. If I wanted to, I could report a bunch of posts by some members just about half the times they post, and I'm sure I could find others to do it to, with posts that are rude/offensive to me. I don't, though, because it's just the internet and it doesn't hurt me to view people saying things that I disagree with. I just want everyone on the boards to accept that viewpoint (that sounds so hypocritical  ) because it's really very unpleasant here when fights arise just about every time someone disagrees with the majority. |

i see your point. but i dont remember any fights (over a disagreement) with anyone that got so big and disgusting as they did with TFE.
It's not like this forum is a cult pushing you into religious beliefs lol.
most of the time people can't tell he's joking. he's 13. he thinks death is funny, he thinks calling people gay is funny... and so on. That's one of the main issues. people our age and people his age think very differently and will never see eye to eye

The thing is though, by being SO offended by all the stuff TFE says, they're really just erasing that age difference. I look at what TFE says and think "Okay, a teenager being a teenager and trying to offend people because, hey, that's what teenage boys do." Some people here just can't do that, and so they react the way a 13 year old would. When I see the arguments up here about him all I can think of when was I was that age and my friends and I fought like that all the time.

i guess it's hard for some of us to even remember how we were 10 years ago. i mean i finished HS, finished college. i'm in a completely different place in my life. he's in junior high. i barely remember that time in my life.. and for the even older people here, it's gotta be a blur.
maybe this forum could make a seperate section for "teen talk"
