Even just on Christmas Eve. I remember being so ****ing excited I couldn't sleep at night. Now I'm sitting here on BBOY while my family is watching Jet Li's Fearless out in the living room.
Who am I kidding, I still am excited about the presents I get to open but it's just not as exciting

Do well in life and Christmas can occur any time you want it.

I'm glad we can all agree growing up is depressing around Christmas time. But it better not be for lame reasons like "Wahh, I don't have a gf/bf."

^That's freakin' hilarious ;D lol definitely not the same...back then you didn't really have to do anything and you get presents Well I think there's a bit of an oversimplified look to our pasts as it is, there were still letdowns back when we were kids, some toys looked AWESOME in the ads but then some of them you'd get bored of them within a few hours. Some weren't any fun without another person around, I remember there was some bash 'em up kind of toy where there were these plastic cars that when you bashed 'em together the doors and all would go flying off (GREAT when using ramps so you can crash the cars into each other in mid-air!). Great for a little boy, but if your sister didn't care, one friend of mine wasn't into it (must've had low testosterone levels or something ) and another friend already had his, so he was bored with it, that turned out to be a bit of a letdown. Whee... Who am I kidding, I still am excited about the presents I get to open but it's just not as exciting Yeah I think it's how you look at it, Xmas can still be good as a young adult, when you realize it's better to give than receive when you give someone a good gift. Sucks when you're not working and you can't give anyone squat, although with some of the money I got today I'll be getting a new game for my Vectrex, which it has an unfinished racing demo on it. So the nephew will like that, it'll be a late Christmas present for him once it arrives in a couple of weeks, since he doesn't know about it

I think Christmas gets boring when you're too old to enjoy that sh*t, but gets exciting again once you actually have kids

I guess the appeal of Christmas lies in the fulfillment of the desire for toys. You were dependent on your parents and then the toys came.
As an adult when I want something I just get it now. I enjoy buying the latest gadget, etc. and it is fun to use it (camera, Wii, etc.) I just don't wait for Christmas anymore.

The highlight of my morning was the 10 scratch off tickets I got in my stocking. I won $20

it just seems as if everything is losing spirit these days. no one goes outside, no one celebrates sh*t like they used to. people occupy themselves with work or the computer now. technology is depressing in a way

All I got this Christmas were gift cards and an MP3 player I ordered from Amazon myself on Sunday. There weren't any surprises, which is the worst part for me. Plus I feel like crap, which just should not happen on Christmas.
