If I have any entertainment-related stuff that "I just discovered", I'm just going to lump them in here; don't know if anything would amount to an individual thread apiece, so I'm not going to bother. Been really getting into the '79 tune of "Computer Games" from Mi-Sex the last several days. I had heard it as a backdrop several times from various gaming videos on YouTube, which I was thinking "what IS that song?", but I only just now found out what it was and who it was by when I ran across the video, since they're from New Zealand, as I don't think the song was released here in the States. Aside from the games and computers in the video being woefully out of date and obsolete now, I think the song's a bit timeless (aside from the 70's-sounding bassline at about 2:15), with that nice lead guitar riff, and that singer had a bit of a different voice at times.

You could probably ask xea989 about New Zealand stuff. He lives there. He might have access to some things you may be interested in.
I wish youtube stuff would load on dialup. I'm stuck on 56k. =(

Just have to wait until the next time he gets on to see how familiar he is with them, I guess...
Even though it's been out for several years, I only just got into the GameBoy Advance about a year and a half ago, once the nephew got one for Christmas. Seems to be pretty much just a Sega Genesis (or an SNES), just in a smaller package. Oh well, nice to have portable gaming power like that though.

Yeah that's one of the reasons why I'll be snagging one, since it's compatible with the original and GameBoy Color...think the DS is only compatible with the GBA, and not the other two...plus I'm sure QUITE a few people will be happy to unload their old-assed original or GB Color games that they don't play any more ;D
Anyway, I only just saw Batman Begins this weekend, finally cashed in a Hollywood Video gift card my sister gave me months ago (granted, the nearest store's a mess, you can't find anything...which was part of the problem). They did a pretty good job of it, taking a different spin of Bruce Wayne being in a foreign prison and all. Pretty wicked twist in the latter part of it, with what the League of Shadows was (great, evil concept!). I thought they did a pretty stylish hint at who the villian would be in the next one too (which I assume he's going to snatch Scarecrow up, since it just seems to me he rode off on a horse with just a few taser darts in him, no biggie!). Also liked a lot of the little details, like taking a few of them from the 60s tv version (the fiery jet boost coming out of the Batmobile) and some of the look of Tim Burton's set design of the two Batman films in the late 80s/early 90s.
