Recently, I've found myself wondering why we don't take responsibility for the world. It is perfectly acceptable to ignore the problems of others in our society. In our world even. After all, other peoples problems are THEIR problems, right? I don't think they are. I think that your problems are mine, just as mine are yours. The homeless bum deserves to be happy just as much as the billionaire entrepreneur does. It is so easy to become swept away with our own dreams and aspirations that we forget everyone else has dreams and aspirations as well. There are people out there suffering while we go home to our comfortable beds and fully stocked pantries everyday. I'm not saying that we don't all suffer, but some suffer more than others, and if you have to lower your social status or sacrifice a bit of your spending money to feed a hungry child, than why haven't you? More than ever we need a sense of Global Responsibility. We need to recognize that the worlds problems are the problems of every individual. So, who is ready to take on this task, because the time for change is now.
